This directory service is operated by Sandenskog Digital. We provide a free, independent directory of registered businesses sourced from publicly available data. Contact: privacy@sourceregister.eu

2. What Data We Collect

We list the following business information:

  • Company/business name
  • Registered business address
  • Phone number (where publicly available)
  • Website URL
  • Business registration number
  • Industry classification (NACE/NAF/SIC codes)
  • Geographic coordinates (for map display)

We do not collect or display personal email addresses, personal phone numbers, or financial information.

3. Data Sources

Business data is aggregated from the following public sources:

  • Official business registers: SIRENE/INSEE (France), Companies House (United Kingdom), Handelsregister (Germany)
  • Public business directories: Das Örtliche, Gelbe Seiten (Germany), Hitta.se, Allabolag.se (Sweden), Paginas Amarillas (Spain)
  • Open data: OpenStreetMap (licensed under ODbL)

All data is publicly accessible at the source. We aggregate and present it to help consumers find local professionals.

4. Legal Basis (GDPR Art. 6)

We process business data based on legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Our legitimate interest is providing a free directory service that helps consumers find local professionals, using data that businesses have themselves made publicly available through official registers and business directories.

For sole traders whose business name contains personal data, we have conducted a balancing test and concluded that the public nature of the data, combined with the business context, means our processing does not override their fundamental rights.

5. Your Rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of the data we hold about your business
  • Rectification — correct inaccurate information
  • Erasure — request removal of your business listing
  • Object — object to processing based on legitimate interest
  • Restriction — request we limit how we use your data

6. Opt-Out / Remove Your Listing

If you want your business removed from this directory, you can:

This site does not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics. We may use essential cookies for basic site functionality only.

8. Data Retention

Business listings are retained as long as the business appears in the public source registers. Listings are periodically refreshed from source data. Removed listings are permanently deleted from our database.

9. Data Transfers

All data is stored on servers within the European Union (Hetzner, Germany). No data is transferred outside the EU/EEA.
